Comply with Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA)

The Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA) was signed into law on May 24, 2024, and will take effect on July 31, 2025. It applies to businesses that:

• Process personal data of 100,000 or more Minnesota consumers annually, or
• Generate over 25% of revenue from selling personal data and process data of at least 25,000 Minnesota consumers.

Small businesses are generally exempt, except for the rule that they must obtain prior consent before selling sensitive personal data.
