What is Server-side pixel?

A “pixel” is traditionally a tiny, invisible image that tracks what users do on a site. However, because these are hosted by third parties (like Meta or TikTok), they are the first things ad blockers stop. A server-side pixel does the exact same job, but it’s “camouflaged” within your own server’s data flow. Instead of the browser reaching out to a third-party social media site, your server sends the data directly.

This means you don’t lose track of your ad performance when a user has a privacy extension installed. It also helps your website pass “Core Web Vitals” tests by removing heavy external scripts that usually drag down your site’s performance scores.
