Data Use and Access refers to the framework that governs how personal or business-related data is collected, used, shared, and accessed—ensuring it’s handled securely, for approved purposes, and by authorised users.

In the UK, the DUA Act received Royal Assent on 19 June 2025, marking a key update to the data protection regime. This Act amends the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR to support smart data access, digital verification, and responsible innovation—while enhancing transparency and protection.
