What are Floodlight Tag Integration Issues ?

Floodlight tags are conversion tracking codes used in Google Campaign Manager 360 (formerly DoubleClick). They track what users do on your website after clicking a display or video ad — such as purchases, form fills, or page visits.  Floodlight tag integration issues happen when these tags fail to fire correctly, causing you to miss conversion data and making your campaigns look less effective than they are.

Common causes:

Incorrect tag placement in the HTML, wrong advertiser or activity ID in the tag, conflicts with other scripts on the page, ad blockers stopping the tag from loading, and slow page load times that prevent the tag from firing before the user leaves.

How to fix it:

Place the Floodlight tag just before the closing body tag. Use Google Tag Assistant to verify it fires on the right pages. Ensure the activity group and activity tag IDs match your Campaign Manager settings. Avoid duplicate tags.  Moving to server-side tag management reduces browser conflicts and improves tag reliability.

Seers.ai’s server-side tagging solution helps Floodlight events fire more consistently by moving tag logic off the browser — improving your conversion data accuracy.
